Discover Ticino with an insider
Ticino for lovers of culture, nature, good food and dolce vita
"Ticino-terra d'artisti" (land of artists) is a well-deserved claim. The oldest Christian building in Switzerland (5th Century) is the Battistero in Riva San Vitale, there is a tradition of Ticinese masons and architects who left their mark in the Russia of the Zars, Paris and Rome, up to Mario Botta with Museums all over the world. We'll visit his church in Mogno, but also get an intimate look at the Hesse Museum in Montagnola, access to the atelier of some artist friend and, if possible, hear a concert or see a theatre piece or show. And if there's nothing going on, we'll make our own musical evening in the company of an accordion and bag-pipe (!) player, yet another Ticinese tradition.
